Lev Yashin was a Soviet-Russian goalkeeper nicknamed “the black spider.” He played in four World Cups and was named to the “FIFA Dream Team” for his play in those World Cups. He has often been cited as the best goalkeeper in the history of the sport. He is the only goalkeeper to ever win the Ballon d’Or and FIFA has said that he saved over 150 penalty kicks in his career. That’s legit.
