Vardy and Ranieri

MNF guest pundit

When it comes to expert football analysis, Monday Night Football is box office entertainment.

The Sky Sports show has built up a cult following. Sometimes the punditry from Jamie Carragher, Gary Neville and company actually outshines the fixture it’s being made around. April 10 could be one of those occasions.

Arsenal are a big draw when it comes to ratings and considering their current struggles, there will be plenty of intrigue around the upcoming match against Premier League strugglers Crystal Palace.

But forget about the fixture for a second. Let’s talk about the guest pundit: Claudio Ranieri.

Breaking his silence

The Daily Mail have revealed that the Italian coach is about to break his silence with a public appearance on MNF.

Ranieri hasn’t spoken publically since being sacked by Leicester City in February. The decision to fire Ranieri just a few months after the fairy-tale Premier League win that won the hearts of football fans was poorly received.

That fiery reception was fuelled by reports that Ranieri was betrayed by senior players.

Now we can hear whether those reports have any credibility from Ranieri himself.
